Instructions for NT Final Paper: Please be sure that your paper includes the following: 1. The paper should include a brief introduction, thesis, body, and conclusion.2. The body of the paper should focus on a close reading of the text with a discussion on the historical-social features of the text.4. The body of the paper should also include in no more than three paragraphs the possible contextual or theological implications.5. The conclusion should restate the thesis of the paper, review the interpretation, and provide some final concluding thoughts. Please be sure that your paper is formatted according to the following:1. The title on the first line is to be in uppercase, bold and centered.2. Your name, on the second line, is to be centered in non-uppercase, non-bold typeface.3. Consult and cite between three (3) and five (5) modern critical commentaries (not older than the 1950s).4. Papers should be in MS Word format (.doc or .docx) or PDF and not Pages5. Single-space text in 12-point (main text) in Times New Roman font.6. Double-space between paragraphs. Do not indent or tab the first line of a paragraph.7. The paper should be no more than 3,500 words or 14 pages double-spaced.8. APA Format. Close Reading of the Text MUST answer these:1. If you are reading a letter: A. What is the language: How do keywords lead to the text’s point of view? B. What are the examples: Is the text using examples and if so, how does it relate to the flow of the argument?C. Focus on the type of argument: Is the argument a moral exhortation, teaching, praise or blame, or encouragement?PART 2. Propose an interpretation of the text:1. In light of the above, you can proceed to answer any of the following questions:2. If you are reading a letter: What is the main point of the exhortation, teaching, or encouragement that the text communicates to the readers? 3. Be sure to propose an interpretation of the passage(s).
