No matter what kind of academic paper you need, it is simple and secure to hire an essay writer for a price you can afford at Graduate Writing. Save more time for yourself.
Choose a topic that you have interest in, but be sure it relates to sociology and write a 3-5 page research paper using APA format (You DO NOT need to have an abstract, or a separate title page).
You must have your rough draft reviewed/critiqued at the writing center in order to get points for the rough draft!
Use at least FIVE SCHOLARLY SOURCES (this means NO Wikipedia, No encyclopedia Britannica, NO dot coms, dot nets, etc. If you’re not sure about a source, ask.)
In your paper, be sure to connect your topic to sociology. You can do this in a paragraph in the beginning or end, or you can make the connection throughout the course of the paper. Use applicable course concepts/ideas within your paper.
Do not over-rely on 1 or 2 sources. In other words, don’t use the same source over and over and over. The more sources, the better. Do not use “I” statements (“I think” or “I feel”) Do not use personal stories as one of your sources.
Don’t just reiterate what someone else has said. Analyze, think about, critique the research you are reading and then use it to generate an original idea. Use the literature to support your argument/ideas.
Submit your final paper through D2L into the dropbox for your class. The “Turn it in” function will be on, and this will alert you to the level of (potential) plagiarism in your paper. If your level is high (above 55%), take time to review your paper to make sure you have appropriately cited your sources and that you haven’t claimed someone else’s work for your own. You have ONE opportunity to redo your paper after the initial submission to D2L. All papers, including rewrites, MUST be submitted by the due date listed on the syllabus.
Remember, the rough draft is worth 50 points, but you will receive a zero if you do not have your rough draft critiqued by the writing center – this is due week 11. YOU may use the online writing center. Your preliminary outline and reference list (due week 8) are worth 25 points. You can add to or alter this for your final paper. A reference list MUST be included in your final paper. The presentation is worth 35 points (electronic presentations such as a video that YOU make are allowed), and the final draft of the paper itself is worth 140 points, and it must be submitted via D2L. PLEASE ask if you have any questions!
Rubric for final draft: Evidence of critical thinking (40 pts), argument/position supported by research (30pts), ability to relate the topic to sociology (15 pts), appropriate type and number of sources including an attached reference list (15pts), appropriate use of APA format (15pts), appropriate length (15 pts), organization and clarity (10 pts).
