The Nuclear family would include family members that are closer than extended families such as parents and their dependent children. On the other hand, the extended family could include members like grandparents aunts, uncles, and many other relatives.

My family influenced me because of the way I was raised. I think my family is the first thing that introduces me to society. In a functionalist perspective, my family has influenced me by physically and mentally nurturing me. It is my family that makes me thrive as a person who can create value for society. In conflict theory, due to the unequal allocation of resources, there can be conflicts among families (The people who are supposed to be the closest). I have seen a lot of disputes in some families that can be related to resources like houses and money. I have seen some disagreement in my family that can be related to many other aspects of our society, not houses and money. In the interactionalist perspective, my family influenced me by interacting with me and teaching me about how to be a social being and how to sympathize with one’s misfortune. For instance, my parent taught me the proper values of society, and my mom taught me how to save money and material for poor people. All these kinds of influences make me realize that I should put a lot of effort to be successful as someone who has ambition in society. Moreover, I think everything has an impact on our lives and engage with the place we live when we were a kid. Therefore, my families’ placements for themselves in society would influence my placement in society as well because the resources that my parents have would influence how I can begin my path in society as an adult social- being in society.

Part two:

To me, religions are used as tools to shape or even restrict some of the behaviors performed by young people. The religious groups might become the reference group for different young people which will make the young people view something as unacceptable while others as acceptable. To mention how religion is used in the socialization of our young, I want to point out the family and religion are two very important reference groups to many people because religion is to originate from family. Religion influences us to be better persons and for a better humanity. Families often would focus on religious activities together. The parents’ religions can have a huge impact on children’s religious understanding and beliefs. It appears that religion can be used in the socialization of our young by becoming the guidance of the young’s behaviors. Therefore, Family and Religion are combined to teach young people how to live healthy and compassionate ways. Nowadays, religion is spread wider on the internet, so a lot of youths know more about religion. Thus, religion affects and educates more people. These institutions are together because religion is considered a virtue in that it ties families together. It is something nurtured and reinforced by family.
